Account Executive of the Year
Nominees for this award salutes those in the trenches, selling the print, online, on-air and multi-platform programs and creating a winning proposition for both the client/advertiser and the media brand. The Account Executive of the Year will have outstanding relationships with clients and taps into the creative juices of design and clever strategy to close the sale.
Eligibility: Open to media sales and business development executives whose primary responsibility is to sell ad space or sponsorship programs for a media brand or to lead a team of salespeople; Agency account executives on the front lines serving clients and seeking the next big account; It is open to all sales/business development job titles who directly sells to the client in agency, product or media companies — with titles such as sales rep, account executive, media sales specialist, account manager, sales strategist, product (sales) specialist, senior account/sales executives, etc.
Creative Person of the Year
This person is always pushing the creative envelope both conceptually and visually. Nominees always present “out-of-the-Box” concepts to the client, no matter the risk. This person plays a key role in consistently moving the creative industry forward and pushing our market to the next level. This person can be part of the creative process from copywriter, designer, videographer or cinematographer, website development and digital artist or creative director.
Digital Media Manager of the Year
This award is presented to a member of the advertising, public relations or journalism field who showed exceptional skill in the realm of digital production, creative and/or account management. Nominees for this award should primarily work in the web, mobile, app development, or digital art spheres.
Media Strategist of the Year
The Media Strategist of the Year can include anyone from in-house to a contract buyer who shows exceptional negotiation skills and charming qualities. They should always be pushing the envelope for new media strategies while staying aware of the client’s budget.
Next Generation Award
This award celebrates young advertising professionals with unmatched ambition. Rising professionals fuel our industry through fresh and innovative ideas. The Next Generation Award was created to recognize those outstanding advertising individuals, ages 30 and younger, who are making a significant impact.
All nominations will be submitted online. To submit a nomination, please be prepared to describe why this person deserves to win this award, a brief history of nominee’s job experience, and the contributions they have made to the advertising industry.
An advisory panel will determine the eligibility, narrow down the nominees and request work samples (if applicable). Winners for the Next Generation Award, Digital Media Manager of the Year and Creative Person of the Year awards will be determined by the judges of the American Advertising Awards. Winners for the Media Strategist of the Year and Account Executive of the Year will be determined by a panel of past Silver Medal winners.
